by Colombo Times · November 23, 2019

There is a likelihood of parliament being prorogued.

Reports say president Gotabaya Rajapaksa will issue a gazette in the coming week for proroguing parliament.

At its last meeting, parliament decided to meet again on December 03rd.

However, the new government considers it imperative for the president to convene parliament anew.
